Sari Domingues is a proud native of Santa Maria, California, where she was born and raised. Her journey through life has been marked by a strong sense of community, a passion for education, and a commitment to public service.

Sari's early years were spent attending St. Mary's Elementary/Junior High School and later, Santa Maria High School, where she laid the foundation for her lifelong dedication to her hometown.

​

On June 1, 2024, Sari will celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary with her high school sweetheart. Together, they have raised three successful sons, a testament to their enduring love and strong family values.Sari's professional career spans an impressive 30 years in government service. She began her journey with the Santa Maria-Bonita School District before moving on to serve Santa Barbara County. Sari culminated her government career with distinction, retiring from the County of Monterey as a Business Analyst. Her role included crucial support and configuration of various ERP Systems, including Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Retirement, Financial, and Learning Management for a workforce of over 5,000 employees.

Not content with merely excelling in her professional life, Sari Domingues undertook the challenge of furthering her education while balancing family and work responsibilities. Her academic achievements include two associate degrees (A.S. Information Technology and A.A. Liberal Arts), a bachelor's degree (B.S. Business Management), and a master's degree (M.A. Organizational Leadership). Notably, her master's degree in Organizational Leadership was centered on the principles of "Servant Leadership," a philosophy that she wholeheartedly embraces.

Sari's ties to Santa Maria run deep, as her parents and grandparents were all born in the region. Her father hailed from Nipomo, her mother from Guadalupe, her grandfather from Pozo, and her grandmother from Ballard. This rich heritage has instilled in her a profound appreciation for the diversity and vibrancy of District 37.

Sari's memories of growing up in Santa Maria are filled with the joys of a safe and supportive community. She recalls fondly her upbringing alongside her ten brothers and sisters and the positive impact of a robust public education system. Sari actively participated in the PTA and contributed to classroom activities while her sons attended public school.

With a deep desire to recreate the safe and vibrant atmosphere of her youth and to play her part in restoring California's responsible governance, Sari Domingues is committed to making a difference in District 37. Her dedication to the principles of Servant Leadership, her extensive experience in public service, and her love for her community make her a formidable candidate poised to bring positive change to the district and the state as a whole.
